THE OTHER MUSEUM FROM OLDTIMERS TO LACE OFFERS YOU A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF COLLECTIONS

• Oldtimers: We have a beautiful collection of oldtimers. The museum houses over 30 oldtimers, most of which are from before World War II. Our collection has some mass produced cars such as the model T but also has several unique cars such as a Peugeot from 1903 of which there are only 5 left across the world. We also have the oldest Chrysler in Europe and the first Bond car. The museum also has several classics which we still use for rallies.

• Textile/Lace: Our exposition “A Lace journey through Europe” shows you lace, pillows, bobbins and other necessities to craft handmade lace from all over Europe. In addition to the lace our textile collection also houses a large collection of antique samplers and sewing tools. One of the latest additions to the museum is our 18th century style room. This room is dedicated to Maria Louise van Hessen-Kassel, the ancestress who kept the Dutch royal family alive. The room shows lace and clothing that Maria Louise used to wear and will also tell you about her turbulent history.

• Radio collection: In our museum bar you will find a collection of beautiful Philips radios from the thirties. These radios were a symbol of style and are aptly named. Have you ever heard of the Cathedral or the Spring Messenger?

• Trains: The museum has a large collection of model trains from LGB, model trains with a scale of 1 on 22 cm. The tracks for these trains are attached to our ceiling, letting you enjoy them from every angle. The trains themselves are based on models from all over Europe, including the Netherlands. We also have several unique trains such as the Orient Express, another Bond related vehicle.

• Meccano: Our toy collection mostly consists of Meccano, the Lego from the past. We have several large scale creations such as the Eifel tower, a ferry wheel and a train. Most of our Meccano still works and moves.

We also offer custom ordered group activities for all your vacation needs. We offer several standard activities that you can find on our website but are always willing to adjust them to your specific needs. The museum also organizes rallies for car clubs and also rents out cars for marriages. We also have a large meeting room with good accommodations (Wi-Fi, a beamer etc.).
